Burger lovers, you’re in for a treat! The Phantom Gourmet has declared August 11th National “Buy Your Best Friend a Burger” Day!
But before you bite into your juicy (and complimentary) burger, here are some fun facts about your favorite meal you might not have known.
•The first hamburger, called a hamburg steak, was popular among German sailors in the 18th century. It has little resemblance to today’s modern patty.
